Popular with walkers and cyclists, the village of Rowland’s Castle is just outside the South Downs National Park and neighbouring The Stansted Park, with its great views over the coast of Hampshire, and the house itself, where the upstairs state rooms, and downstairs servants quarters are open to the public from April until the end of September.

Rowland’s Castle is well worth a visit, there are three long distance footpaths that cross through the village; Sussex Border Path, Staunton Way and Monarch’s Way, these make fabulous walks, before you enjoy a delicious meal in the Robin Hood Inn. Rowland’s Castle is also famous for its golf club, founded in 1902, this 18 hole par 72 course plays 6642 yards off the white tees.

The Robin Hood Inn is situated in the village facing the green. It is a base for tourists visiting Portsmouth, Chichester, and nearby Havant. It is a traditional pub, with a friendly and helpful team, and is one of three pubs in the village – a rare thing in this modern age.

The menu has been carefully put together to include a variety of pub favourites. The accommodation is recently refurbished, reasonably priced, and comfortable, with all rooms en-suite. Sally, Chris and the team at the Robin Hood Inn look forward to welcoming you soon.
